When Gingerbug approached me with their unique recipe for Canada’s first wild fermented ginger beer, I knew I had an exciting challenge ahead. My goal was to create packaging that not only embodies the essence of their brand but also captivates consumers at first glance. Each element was carefully crafted to reflect their audacious vision while ensuring it popped out proudly on the shelf. From the original bottled (healthy pop) product to now three flavours in cans – With funding from Dragons' Den, Gingerbug is on its way to creating a wild new category
Crafty Ramen
Working with Crafty Ramen allowed us to push the boundaries of label design, aiming to create label packaging that resonates with their vibrant brand identity. From custom illustration to hand lettering fonts - every detail was thoughtfully designed to attract consumers' attention right off the shelf, ultimately contributing to their successful funding pitch on Dragons' Den. Tell a story of some kind. Law of attraction works for labels as well. Label design is incredibly important, and it’s a huge opportunity to express who you are. It’s important that your label/packaging represents your brand, displays all the legal requirements, and gives your audience a “pop” that will make a consumer grab it off the shelf.
A label needs to communicate its individual character, but shouldn’t do much more. Think about what information absolutely has to be on the bottle labels, less can be more.
